The Faux Grilled Chicken McDonalds Crispy Sandwich

Okay everyone so I know it has been a little while, what can I say I have been preoccupied. So the other day me and Lin Lui went into McDonald's because she wanted some salty fries to ease her stomach after vomiting from too much wine, go figure. I was to broke to buy anything and on our way out I saw some guy eating a delicious crispy chicken sandwich. Me and Lin Lui said, "Damn that shit looks real good" So I got to thinking why not make our own version in a healthier way. The ingredients: Two pieces of whole wheat bread, Hummus, Black Beans, BBQ Sauce, Grilled Chicken, Lettuce, and Cheese. First cook your chicken to your liking, I believe me and Lin Lui added some BBQ sauce and hot sauce for a good spicy marination. At the end make sure to place two to three pieces of provolone cheese to melt onto your chicken. While that's cooking put your black beans on the stove. I used a can of Goya Black Beans, and place them in a pot with some water, olive oil, and an array of spices for flavoring. Next toast your wheat bread to your liking, I prefer mine nice and crispy almost to the point of burnt. After everything is done cooking now is the assembling. Spread your hummus on both sides of the wheat bread, any type of hummus will do we used plain. Next you want to take your black beans while they are still hot and soft, and smash them flat onto the the hummus so they combine almost. I suggest using the back end of a spoon for expert smashing. Then place your chicken on the sandwich and drizzle some BBQ sauce over the cheesy chicken. Top it off with some crisp fresh lettuce and the other piece of wheat bread and......BAM an alternative to a heart attack waiting to happen. Enjoy ; )

The Cupcake without the Cake and Strawberries dipped in peanut butter

Hello everyone out there tonight, you are all in for a special treat. Tonight I'm going to tell you of a great little recipe for a fun party. Me and Lin Lui were the only ones trying these little creations, but they would definitely be good at a little get together with some friends. First the ingredients for this concoction: A box of Nilla Waffers, Skippy Peanut Butter, Betty Crocker Milk Chocolate Frosting, and Fresh Strawberries. There is a very particular assembling process for these guys. First you should melt your peanut butter in a little tubber ware of some sought. Nuke in the microwave for about twenty to thirty seconds, and remember do not over cook your peanut butter! Then grab a plate to place your Wafers and Strawberries on after dipping. First you take a Nilla Wafer(The replacement cake of a cupcake) and you dip it in the frosting. After dipping as many as you would like and placing them on your plate, you are ready for drizzling. You take a spoon and dip it in the melted peanut butter. You hold the spoon over the selected Wafer and let the peanut butter run off the spoon and drizzle onto the Wafer. A nice motion to make is a circular motion so you get a very lovely ascetically pleasing design on your Wafer. After that it is time for the strawberries. Take a strawberry and rinse it off, after that you want to dip it slowly and get it covered as much as possible in the melted peanut butter. Place as many as you would like on the plate. Once done, place Both items in the Refrigerator for about 15 to 20 minutes. Once nice and cold it's tasting time, and something we want you to notice is how our little cookie cake treats taste like CUPCAKES!!!! I must say my favorite, was for sure the peanut butter dipped strawberries. This concoction I must give credit to Lin Lui also. She was my little partner in crime with this one. The best part of the process is when she thought the chair was closer then it really was and almost fell on the floor, her face was priceless, my life story. Enjoy ; )

Saucy Soy Sauce Chicken

Good evening all my many readers out there.....I wish. So tonight I cooked a very wonderful dinner if I do say so myself. I basically have no food in my apartment, and was really hungry so instead of cooking the same old bland chicken I decided to add a little pizazz to Il mio pollo. I took a piece of chicken out of the freezer and defrosted it in my shitty microwave. I say it's shitty because the defrost does not work and I have to cook it for about 8 mins to get it soft. Then I placed my softened chicken in a bowl and added some Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Pepper, Salt, and a lot of SOY SAUCE. I decided to let this sit while I went to jump in the shower. Normally I would like for this to sit over night and let the chicken really soak in the flavor, but hey I wasn't thinking that ahead. After my relaxing shower I started to cook. I placed my chickens in a pan with some olive oil in the pan first and placed my burner on low, not high. In the past I have learned that if too high the olive oil will shoot out at you and trust me it BURNS. While I let my chicken cook slowly, I thought for some good side dishes I would make Brown rice and some Black Goya Beans. For the beans, I through in a pot some olive oil, water, salt and some seasonings. I placed the burner on high and just tasted my beans until nice and soft....yum. As for the rice, it came in a bag and all I had to do was place it in a pot of boiling water and let the rice absorb the water. Afterwards I placed the rice in beans together in a bowl and added some SOY SAUCE. While doing all this I made sure to watch my chicken and flip them accordingly. Everything turned out delicious......and Kelly Ann was very impressed with the flavor, can't wait to eat the left overs for lunch tomorrow. Enjoy ; )

The Perfect Breakfast at Tiffany's Brunch

Well all of you readers out there, my next entry I could not have done without my good friend Miss Sam. I have never seen the movie Breakfast at Tiffany's with the legendary Audrey Hepburn, and my friend Sam could not believe that so we decided to have a lovely Breakfast at Tiffany's Brunch. It was quite smashing if you ask me. There are definitely some key components when hosting a fab brunch even if it is just you and a friend. The first thing on your list is the drink of choice, and what Brunch is not complete without some great Mimosas (Plus you have not had a successful brunch if you are not a little toasted by the end). I like to use Tropicana OJ without Pulp, of course. My choice of Champagne would have to be a great bottle of Prosecco, it averages for about 13 dollars so not too bad price wise. We killed two bottles and by the end of the brunch we were feeling great. Next of course is to have some great fresh fruit. We enjoyed some great strawberries, red raspberries, black raspberries, and blue berries. We also had a bowl of Roasted Pine nut Hummus with carrots and a cut up French Beget for dipping. I then cooked up some crispy bacon for a side dish to go along with the main course. To top us off we indulged in some Goat Cheese eggs placed between a toasted whole wheat english muffin. I must say you can never have enough goat cheese on ANYTHING. After this great brunch we happily enjoyed the movie and I have set out a goal to go out all night and eat a croissant in front of Tiffany's at 6 in the morning.

The Good Guy Cupcake

Okay so officially my favorite Cupcakes from crumbs are the Good Guy and the Elvis. If you like the Pillsbury Dough Boy Funfetti cake mix you will love the good Boy. If you like Peanut Butter and Banana you will love the Elvis. Just some quick cupcake advice....eat Eat EAT!!!! Enjoy ; )

Golden Peanut Butter Rush Waffles

Okay everyone, so I have made many creations in my day so I am going to try and remember as many as I can. For starters lets begin with a wonderful breakfast treat to start the day off with. I call this creation The Golden Peanut Butter Rush Waffles. I know, it's sounds delicious already. The base for this concoction are two Eggo waffles. Make sure they are toasted golden and brown. Then Take peanut butter and marshmello fluff into a tubber ware and place it in the microwave. Nuke for about twenty to thirty seconds, any longer and you will burn your peanut butter(Not Good). You want to melt it down into a nice soft creamy sauce. Then afterwards you drizzle your peanut butter marshallow fluff sauce onto you waffles. I usually like to spread it on with a knife as if it's a spread like butter.......Yum. Then you take brown sugar(As much as you prefer) and sprinkle upon your waffles and sauce. To top it off you microwave Maple Syrup (Compliments of Lin Lui) and drizzle over your Golden Peanut Butter Rush Waffles. ENJOY ; )
Hello everyone out there in cyber space. My name is Nick Spadaro and I am a college student at LIM college. I'm studying to be in the fashion Industry, not sure in what field but I have time. I have always loved eating and coming up with very interesting creations. My friends have all made fun of me for eating these exotic creations, however when I would force them to try a sample there taste buds would go banana's. One day I would love to own my own corporation with my brother Dan. Under this corporation I would love to have a restaurant called Munchies, and it would be filled with all of my amazing creations for all to indulge and love. I figured in my opinion a great restaurant starts with a great menu. What I plan to do is every time I make one of my creations I will type up the recipe for others to try and give me their feedback. Those that are popular will hopefully one day grace the few pages of my menu : )
